Simple Silhouettes
This series uses simple, clean lines to modernize the classic shapes that have flattered women’s features throughout history. By cutting these shapes from blown glass, we create a transformative effect with color and light. Each edge casts a ray of light against its colorful surface, creating a depth of character to even the most simple of shapes.
Each shape is cut using a cnc waterjet, allowing for these geometric shapes to be perfectly reproduced. After being cut from the surface of our colorful glass plates, each piece is ground down by hand to a comfortably wearable thickness using diamond infused abrasives. A trip through the kiln returns each sanded edge to its original glassy shine.
